Mission

The mission of the Department of Signal Theory and Communications is the research and education in information and communication technologies for the benefit of the society. In this area the department contributes to the UPC mission by means of:

• The participation and organisation of undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD top level education programmes addressed to young university and professional students. 

• The scientific and technical research to advance in the scientific knowledge, technological development and their applications to a better quality of life and economic development, contributing to a fairer and more sustainable society. 

• The impulse of research, knowledge transfer and education projects, in a context of cooperation with other universities, centres of research and companies becoming an international reference in our areas of activity. 

• Offering to our members a favourable work environment both technical and human levels for their enrichment and personal development, based on values, ethics, critical thinking and teamwork.
